会展描述	The American Association of Immunologists (AAI), in order to promote excellence in science education at the secondary school level, is sponsoring a summer research program created specifically for high school teachers: the 2011-2012 AAI High School Teachers Summer Research Program in Immunology. This program provides support for a hands-on experience that allows teachers to conduct research in the laboratories of AAI members for a four-week period during the summer followed by two weeks of curriculum development. The goal of the program is to give science teachers the opportunity to participate in an actual research experience in immunology. This experience is intended to acquaint the teacher with modern research tools and techniques, and to allow them to bring the excitement of research to their classrooms. Another goal of the program is to establish long-term associations between science teachers and the research community.
