 Leaders in the profession and the public agree that physicians must demonstrate their skill and knowledge in the evaluation and treatment of patients with cardiovascular disease. This demonstration of competence is dependent in part on the successful completion of proctored examinations for certification and recertification offered by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM).
The Windy City hosts the American College of Cardiology Foundation’s (ACCF) intensive Board certification review course, designed to help you prepare for the ABIM secure exam. Over four-and-one-half days, you will receive a broad and in-depth summary of the cardiovascular disease curriculum. Following ABIM’s examination blueprint, this review course emphasizes pathogenesis, pathophysiology, natural history, epidemiology and evidence-based guidelines for diagnostic assessment and clinical management.
The course includes exam-oriented lectures delivered by expert faculty members; case-based reviews; practice exam booklets for general cardiology, electrophysiology and electrocardiography; plus, an audience response system that allows you to compare answers with peers and faculty experts.  The program provides participants the tools and knowledge to analyze Board-style questions and prepare for the exam.
