The Asian Medical Tourism Association (AMTA) proudly presents the World Medical Health Tourism Conference: Destination Down Under in 2012 which will be held in Brisbane, Australia on 10th-12th August, 2012. The conference is planning on bringing together many of world medical tourism service providers. As Australia holds a unique position in the world of medical tourism, it is both a patient prover and has a growing industry as a service provider for medical tourism in general. Brisbane has been chosen as the location for the event simply because of its great infrastructure and Brisbane is one of the world’s famous tourists destination within Australia. In addition to this, Brisbane’s proximity to the Gold Coast and other medical tourism hospitals makes it the ideal choice for the 2012 event. Australia and Asia-Pacific region has more than 90% of the globe’s medical tourism infrastructure whether it be hospitals, spas and alternative health facilities.
