会展描述	The EASL Governing Board would like to thank all participants of the 46th annual meeting of EASL and contributing to the success of the International Liver Congress™ in Berlin, Germany from March 30 – April 3, 2011.    This year, EASL achieved an outstanding attendance of 8062 participants, introduced several new scientific sessions such as; Basic Science Seminar, Grand Rounds, EU Grant Session and the Health Burden of Viral Hepatitis after the WHO resolution - A call for action. EASL continued to maintain a scientific program of extremely high standards and reached a record of 3089 members from all over the world!  Special emphasis was given to Young Investigators. In addition to the 250 bursaries granted, EASL also organised a Young Investigators Educational Seminar providing a statistics course for trainees in hepatology and a Young Investigators Forum where young professionals could voice their opinion, listen to testimonials and ask for career advice. For the first time ever, EASL hosted a special networking event exclusively for Young Investigators, which was  strongly supported by the EASL Governing Board and Honorary President Prof. D.
